"I know that life isn’t life if you just float through it. I know that the whole point - the only point - is to find the things that matter, and hold on to them, and fight for them, and refuse to let them go."

Give me back my courage,

my identity,

my true self,

my will for life…

I want them back.

Dear sis,

do you remember

how we used to chase plastic bags

on windy days, outside home

and call them our pets, and give them names,

and laugh and run, free…

Magnolia Tree

since feeling is first

since feeling is first

who pays any attention
to the syntax of things
will never wholly kiss you;

wholly to be a fool
while Spring is in the world

my blood approves,
and kisses are a far better fate
than wisdom
lady i swear by all flowers. Don’t cry
–the best gesture of my brain is less than
your eyelids’ flutter which says

we are for eachother: then
laugh, leaning back in my arms
for life’s not a paragraph

And death i think is no parenthesis
